NEW TO BMX
Everyone is a beginner at some point..........
Junior riders can start from as young as 2 years old on a variation of the BMX bike called a balance bike with no pedals. By participating at such a young age, skills such as balance, gross motor skills and independence can be fostered. To find out more about starting as a mini wheeler go to the BMX Australia website.
Riders can use any 20 inch or 24 inch (cruiser) BMX bike. Mudguards, chain guards, kick-stand, pegs, reflectors and any sharp edges must be removed for safety of yourself and other riders.
